LiveLink Aerospace is developing novel, high fidelity technologies in both the hardware and software domains to enable the unification of manned and unmanned air traffic. By virtue of the system’s design, the technology can be used for counter-drone and unified traffic management activities.

By developing a highly resilient, robust and low-cost solution, LiveLink Aerospace is able to truly offer a cost/ value proposition that is currently not being met in the marketplace.  By leveraging the low-cost approach, it is possible to provide more coverage and increased resiliency.

 

Currently, the technology stack includes the following high-level main product categories:

 

  • Passive RF Detectors

  • Passive Acoustic Detectors

  • Electro-Optical Detector

  • Sensor Fusion

  • Zeus C2 System

  • App-based counter-drone system

 

LiveLink Aerospace is looking for an RF Engineer/Team Leader with 10+ years of hands-on RF design experience with proven managerial skills, and product engineering and development experience seeking to lead a team in a forward-thinking company looking to drive our in-house RF systems capabilities, bringing new RF systems to market.

 

Management skills:

  • Project management experience

  • Experience in managing a team of engineers

  • Use of Github and Jira

 

As well as proven management experience the following technical experience is required:

 

Experience in one or more RF fields:

  • Radar, TV, Aviation, Cellular comms

  • General RF communications (100MHz – 10GHz)

  • Wide bandwidth (data, video) and mobile comms systems

  • Propagation, link budget, path/signal distortion, interference mitigation & other RF KPI’s

  • Wideband omnidirectional antenna design

  • General RF Consultancy (100MHz – 10GHz)

Wide range of experience of RF Commercial Product realisation through:

  • Systems analysis

  • Specification

  • Proof of Concept

  • Design

  • Testing

  • Manufacture

  • Experience with Cadence AWR Microwave Office and Ansys HFSS

  • Standards conformance and certifications (eg CE, EMC, LVD, FCC, ITU, ...)

  • Negotiating various regulatory systems (eg UK, EU, US, RoW)

 

Other useful skills/exposure

  • General electronics

  • DSP

  • Programming (C++/ Python)

  • CAA, FAA exposure

  • General aviation industry exposure
