Regional and Rural Air Mobility

When LiveLink Aerospace joined the ADS Advanced Air Mobility Special Interest Group, it was with an aim to better enhance and understand the need for air surveillance solutions to benefit the eVTOL space. In particular, we view our low-cost multi-sensor detection capabilities as a key component in delivering scalable, affordable future Vertiports and backfilling conventional airfields with modern equipment.

Therefore with a wider social responsibility ethos, LiveLink felt it necessary to demonstrate our thought leadership by getting engaged in the broader sphere of Air Mobility in underserved markets. Whilst challenging the conventional orthodoxies, which have to date, centred around urban use cases.

Our increased involvement with companies, such as Atkins, led us to co-author the Regional and Rural Air Mobility white paper. This report says little about the LiveLink technologies themselves but rather the need for a mature discussion on the supporting infrastructure and, crucially, who pays for this. Whether funded from the private or public purse and if a combination of both, to what extent.

The white paper is very much a conversation starter, much like our posting for COMIT showcasing our more comprehensive capability to express how air surveillance needs to be described in a much broader strategic and political context.
